We can drink it, swim in it, skate on it and push it aside to make snow angels. To the best of our knowledge it is an absolutely crucial ingredient for the existence of life. Water (H2O) is a combination of 2 hydrogen (H) atoms and 1 oxygen (O) atom. Hydrogen is the most common element in the Universe while Oxygen is the third most abundant element. This means that while some particular area of the Earth may suffer the terrible consequences of drought, there is no shortage of water within the solar system or the Universe.
