You will be visiting a number of solar system bodies in more detail in the later modules. But those visits will be focused on some particular aspect of those bodies, such as the surface processes on them. You will become very familiar with Mars, largely because we know a lot about it and because it is the target of most interest to humans.
But before we discuss the planets in more detail, we should discuss how they formed. We will do that next, so on to Module 2.
